At East Clayton Farm, the Lorica Trust has been cultivating a supportive community since 2004. Together, they provide a safe and nurturing environment for residents seeking stability and personal growth. The Farmhouse accommodation offers a two-year program to help residents transition to long-term housing while engaging in land-based activities.

Your Role as a Housing & Farm Community Support Worker As a vital part of the East Clayton Farm team, you will:

  • Empower Residents: Inspire and guide residents to engage actively with their tenancy agreements and prepare for independent living. Teach essential tenancy sustainment skills and support their journey toward long-term housing.
  • Foster Community: Collaborate with Lorica Trust staff and volunteers to strengthen the farm’s vibrant, inclusive community.
  • Promote Well-being: Provide housing and therapeutic support tailored to each resident’s needs. Facilitate access to mental health, substance misuse, and other health services.
  • Encourage Engagement: Motivate residents to participate in land-based activities, voluntary opportunities, and work placements.
  • Ensure Safety: Maintain health and safety standards within the residential environment and assist with budgeting, benefits, and life skills development.

Due to the rural nature of the farm, a full driving license and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
